Job Description

Our client based in East Kilbride design, manufacture, install and maintain aluminium facades, PVCu windows, doors and curtain walling systems. They provide a range of premium quality, energy efficient products across a diverse scope of well known clients across the UK.
They are committed to the delivery of quality products and services through the development and training of their staff.

We are currently looking for Metal Fabrication Operatives to join their production operation in East Kilbride.
This is initially a contract position for a minimum of 3 months work, where we have an agreement in place to transfer promising candidates to work directly with the client.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role, where they have worked in a metal fabrication, UPVc fabrication, or light gauge metal production environment.

Key responsibilities of the roles include :-

To set up and operate equipment efficiently and safely as required to your area;
To understand and interpret technical drawings;
To fabricate doors / windows and curtain walling in line with LEAN Manufacturing criteria, set quality standards and customer expectations;
To ensure machinery used is in safe working order and any issues/defects are reported immediately;
To ensure activities undertaken are completed as per agreed timescales;
To keep tools and equipment in good working order;
To maintain a clean working environment;
To safely store materials such that they are easily located.

Rate of pay will depend on previous experience and qualifications.

£9.30-£11.22 per hour . 8 hour Day shift . Pattern – Monday to Friday.

Additional benefits include Paid holidays and Pension in line with current legislation.
