My client a leading international infrastructure group is looking to recruit experienced civils orientated Section Engineers for new utilities and drainage project across the Central Belt of Scotland where you’ll control a section of the works and manage the construction of these works to completion.
Scope of project includes sewage pipeline outlet and treatment and marine works.
As a result of a significant award in the Lossiemouth area they are now looking to appoint several experienced Section Engineers, ideally with experience from a main contractor construction civil engineering background.
” Managing execution of works packages
” Producing package delivery programmes
” Contribute to the coordination of site investigations, design, value engineering and overall planning
” Experience in surveying, setting out and permits
” Reviewing and writing RAMS
” Maintaining ITPs and checksheets
” Organising site operations and scheduling materials in accordance with the agreed programme.
” Liaising with on site client representatives and subcontractors.
” Monitoring and tracking site operations and subcontractors, identifying performance improvements and strategies.
” Promoting and demonstrating Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities to Project policies and management plans
” Arranging testing of materials.
” Resolving any technical problems that may arise.
” Non conformance reports and raising technical queries / RFI’s
The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge and a solid background working for main contractors on multi-million pound projects in a civils environment.
The minimum qualification for this role will be; a HND qualification (or equivalent) in a civils or construction discipline, you must also be computer literate with experience in MS project & AutoCAD.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
oLeadership skills advancing
oEvidence of effective independent judgement skills
oGood progression towards professional accreditation (e.g. ICE, IHT)
oIT literate, proficient in MS office, AutoCAD desirable
oDesirable – First aid, cat & genny, NRSWA, temporary works supervisor
