To manage suppliers in order to effectively purchase materials to meet company requirements.
Purchase material to meet company requirements
Material to be obtained from vendors to the required dates
Material to be obtained from vendors at a purchase price equal to or less than targets
Material to be obtained from vendors with a clear specification of company requirements and quality standards
Carry out vendor management of allocated suppliers
Allocated vendors to be monitored for performance
Regular performance reviews to be held with key suppliers with action plans for improvement
Support the expediting of supplier deliveries by providing an escalation path developing supplier expediting processes
Manage Cost Reduction Programs
Carry out annual negotiations with key vendors to effect cost reduction on key commodity groups
Investigate cost reduction opportunities through new suppliers or changes in current suppliers’ materials or processes
Negotiate supplier terms to minimize costs
Manage New Supplier Implementation
New suppliers to be investigated and approved as per company procedures
New supplier performance to be critically reviewed through start up
Approval of existing suppliers for “new to them” parts to follow company procedures and be expedited internally
Support new product introduction
Development projects for new designs to be supported by advising approved suppliers by commodity groups, investigating possible supply base for new commodity types, and carrying out cost estimates
Material sourcing for new product materials to be carried out with priority consideration to the time to market constraints on the project
Ensure accurate system data entry
All commitments given to vendors by the Company to be reflected on ERP system
Order entry on ERP System to be timely and accurate
