Job Description

Working within our Projects and Sales Team which supports a multi discipline department, the Document Controller will be responsible for document control for Mixing Products. You will have excellent attention to detail, good time and quality management skills in order to assist with the successful delivery of agitators, static mixers and heat exchangers. The Document Controller will facilitate the timely delivery of technical and commercial documentation for our current client projects and will be responsible for liaising with the client and internal company departments to ensure timelines and specifications on the contract are met. Under the direction of your Line Manager you will help move projects towards completion by performing project and documentation support tasks, which typically include outgoing and incoming client transmittals and expediting document approvals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Support the Development Strategy of Projects and Engineering Disciplines.
o Set-up and maintain Project and Engineering electronic and paper files throughout Project Lifecycle.
o Control movement of documentation to and from Clients, as directed by Client Document Specifications in an accurate and in a timely manner.
o Manufacturer Databook (MDB) compilation and submission (electronic and hard copy)
o Co-ordinate Internal transmittals (work instructions, drawings, etc)
o Compile monthly status reports for all major stakeholders on individual project progress highlighting major areas of concern which will affect the project.
o Reporting document status for mixing projects
o Maintain up to date records of the financial status of projects
o Record and issue all incoming and outgoing project correspondence and contractual notices
o Control movement of documentation to and from suppliers in an accurate and timely manner
o Expedite the review and approval of documentation including engineering documents and drawings and vendor data, and procedures
o Plan, supervise and record document flow to and from all necessary parties including engineering, sub-vendors, fabrication contractors and the project office
o Liaise with Clients and Suppliers as required, ensuring Customer and Supplier care is at the foremost position
o Attend and take part in Project Kick-Off Meetings and Progress Meetings.
o Support Project Team and Engineering Disciplines throughout the Project Lifecycle.
o Compile Final Documentation Packages in electronic and paper format as directed by Client Documentation Specifications.
o Understand the set-up and operate the Company ERP System.
o Generate Project Invoices as direct by Line Manager

Qualifications: HNC in a relevant subject

Experience:Experience in an engineering projects environment
Working knowledge of document filing systems and document tracking
Working knowledge of Cost control with the ability to monitor and report on current project cost data.

Skills:Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
