Engineering Manager
We are currently working with an award winning international company. Due to the continued success and growth within the business they are now recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join their team in Manchester.
This is a permanent position where you will manage the day-to-day activities of the Engineering Department, including the team of engineers, designers, interns, and other personnel involved in new product design.
As the Engineering Manager you will ultimately define and drive the team’s continual improvement to enhance their performance and capabilities in line with broader company goals and objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include:
oManage engineering projects, department workload, and schedules as needed to ensure projects meet customer specifications and are completed on time and within budget.
oDrive design standardization, cost effectiveness, improved performance, and manufacturing improvements across all product lines.
oProvide technical support for sales, marketing, manufacturing and field support personnel.
oWork closely with Quality to troubleshoot quality issues and develop corrective actions as needed.
oPerform diverse engineering activities involving design and/or redesign of company products.
oSupport aftermarket product modification and upgrade programs through quick and accurate engineering analyses.

To be considered for the Engineering Manager position you must possess the following:
oTertiary education in Mechanical Engineering
oComputer literacy, including in MS Office and 3D CAD software
oUnderstanding of ISO 9001
oWorking knowledge of design codes including EC Directives and CE Marking
oChartered Status
oAware of ATEX and IEC regulations
oAt least 2 years’ experience directly managing engineering and/or technical support personnel
oIn-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, design techniques, and procedures
oTechnical aptitude and familiarity with machining, welding, and assembly manufacturing processes
