Job Description

Project Manager Construction/Fit Out (Healthcare) x 3 roles
c£60K – c£75K North East (Newcastle)
Permanent or Contract roles available

We are looking for experienced PROJECT Managers for a world class client in the North East.
This role holds the responsibility for the project’s design, procurement, construction and delivery and will report directly to the Project Director. You will be accountable for the overall project performance including cost, quality, programme, health & safety and environment and sustainability. This accountability extends from pre-construction to delivery.

Job Summary
>Report to Project Director and work within the reporting structure of the team.
>Running and delivery of all phases of the Project. Mainly Fit Out works.
>Leading, mentoring and managing a small team of construction managers.
>Driving overall production on site.
>Direct, collate and organise all package related paperwork requirements within the team.
>Preparation of medium-range and short-range phasing, sequencing and logistics drawings.
>Actively promote and advise on design safety and sustainability.

Key Tasks and Activities
>Provide uncompromising safety leadership.
>Reporting Profit and Loss performance against the project plan in liaison with the Lead Commercial >Manager.
>Defining and managing business risks.
>Interpreting project performance metrics on Projects in Delivery/Management Information Systems and taking required action in areas of poor performance.
>Carrying out Project Reviews.
>Setting annual performance targets and development plans.

Key Competencies
>Professional Qualifications relevant to the role.
I?n depth industry knowledge with a major developer/builder.
>Key skills and competencies in Lean Construction Techniques.
>Pre-construction and site establishment experience.
>Experience in design of temporary and permanent works.
>An in-depth knowledge of the construction process and construction methods.
>Proven track record of delivering successful projects.
>Experience of project planning and resource allocation & managing design teams.
>Experience of dealing with clients, contractors and construction activities.
>Design, procurement, construction and delivery experience.
